'Houston we have a problem'

The final round of qualifying for the 2010 IFMAR 200mm World Championship has been interrupted by a power failure at the Gulf Coast Raceway here in Houston with the flood lights going out as the drivers in Group 7 were just finishing their run. The black out has resulted in a 45 minute delay to the schedule but the lights are back on and qualifying has just resumed.

Having teamed up with Radbody to bring you coverage of the 1:12 World Championships from Florida last year, Red RC are excited to partner up with the US based body shell producer again and travel state side once more for the IFMAR World Championship for Electric Touring Car. From November 5-10th the 12th running of IFMAR’s ISTC World Championship will take place at Finishline RC Raceway in Bakersfield, California, and we will be there to see how the title battle unfolds. Having reported on Davide Ongaro’s history making three in a row at the 1:8 Offroad Worlds in Spain recently, we are excited to see if back to back ISTC World Champion Bruno Coelho can emulated that achievement. We are also pleased to welcome servo manufacturer PowerHD onboard as a partner of the coverage.
