Notes – Competing at his first World Championship and the Top US entry in Chile, Alex’s Velox V8.3 is fitted with Shepherd screws, hinge pins, and aluminium pivot balls. He is also using a rear body mount from top European Shepherd driver Lars Hoppe’s LHO brand.

Having hit a landmark of telling our 50th World Championship story when we reported on Marcus Kaerup’s 4WD Buggy World title win in Australia, Red RC is excited to be travelling to Chile to cover IFMAR’s fourth & final World Champion crowning race of 2025, the 1:8 Onroad World Championship.

The F1 of RC Racing, this will be our second time to Chile this year having covered Alessio Mazzeo’s 1:8 GT World Championship double there in September. With our 1:8 being made possible by Capricorn, Radbody, T-Works, and IFMAR, this one is special because it was IFMAR’s original World Championship category that was also the first World Championship to be covered here on Red RC back in 2007 in Argentina.

Our coverage from Santiago and the CACH Facility will start on Tuesday (Dec 2nd) with seeding practice through to the crowning of a new World Champion on Saturday (Dec 6th).
