Q4 Update – Ronnefalk holds off Coelho for 2nd TQ run

Having taken his first TQ run of the 2025 SIGP in the Round 3, David Ronnefalk has backed it up in Q4 by taking his Xray to the fastest time of the event, this time round the Swede just 6/10ths of a second up on Infinity’s Bruno Coelho.  Now with both Ronnefalk and Infinity’s Kouki Kato, who TQ’d the opening two rounds, equal with two TQ runs a piece it will be all to play for in the fifth & final round of qualifying this evening as the sun sets on Day 2 of qualifying in Xiamen.  After issues in the first two qualifiers of Saturday’s action, Mayako’s Pekko Iivonen would finally break into the 15-laps over 8-minutes of the challenging 3 Circles track to set the third fastest time, his best points finish so far.  Having started his SIGP debut so strong, topping seeding, Q1 and Q2, it was to be another tough round for Kato who set the fourth fastest time with Indonesia’s Jason Nugroho, P4 in Q2, and Jung Hyunkyu, P4 in Q3, completing the Top 6.
