Remarks – Like team-mate and Super Pole winner Robert Pietsch, Shoki is running a prototype of Mugen’s upcoming 1:10 200mm kit release.  The as yet unnamed car features the same front end as the MTX6R but has completely new rear end with both ends connected by a newly design chassis plate. Shoki said they are both using the same car, though the set-up of each the car is quite different.

Remarks – Xray’s top driver in qualifying Leo is running an ‘out of the box’ version of their 2018 kit, adding it is ‘super standard’.  The only upgrades are an aluminium chassis screw set and a light weight 2-speed shaft.  The French driver said the car has had Top 10 pace all week but he just had trouble getting in clean runs during qualifying hence his P17 in the final qualification ranking.

Remarks – The Top Qualifier here in Miami, Dario says he is running a standard IF15.  Unlike team-mate Andy Moore who is running a soon to be released less flex chassis plate, he has stuck with the standard version also pointing out that he is also using the standard shock springs, again Moore using springs from a new range Infinity will release.

Remarks – Seeded in the top heat of qualifying here in Miami, Meen is running Capricorn’s latest chassis offering with the stand out features of the former World Champion’s car being the new black chassis and optional flex radio plate.  The Maxima team driver is also running a special Miami edition of the Thai company’s Novarossi based TR1 engine.

Chassis Focus – Toni Gruber

Remarks – Toni is running the kit standard NTX1.2 from Italian company WRC with the car having just two optionals – the carbon discs that sit mounted inside the wheels and the carbon insert in the front of the chassis plate. In terms of specifics to the Homestead RC Raceway track he said the diffs are the most important thing here.  While his cars are normally decked out in bodies from Xtreme Aerodynamics, Toni is running Protoform’s P47 bodyshell having found it suits his car better on this track.

Remarks – The reigning World Champion here in Homestead, Dominic is running the same Serpent 750 he debuted and took to victory at the season finale of the Euro Nitro Series in Fiorano, Italy.  The only difference to the car is that the preproduction parts have now been replaced with black finished production parts.
