Notes:
Natanaele is running a number of parts from his own brand Senesi Motorsport including a 3mm Aluminium chassis that allows him to run the drive train in a straight line which in turn makes the car more stable due to better weight distribution. The carbon fibre radio plate is also his design being lighter and more rigid than the standard version. The rear body stiffener, rear diff finger cover, anti tuck side supports for the body are all 3D printed from Senesi Motorsport.

Notes:
Gruber’s example of the X3GTS is fitted with self designed rear shock tower that he had machined by a friend. The design helps to lower the car’s centre of gravity.

Notes:
The Raptor is a collaboration between of Swiss racer Michael Kocher and Italian designer Andrea Contarini and came about because he wanted to race something different so they created their own car. Started in 2020, an electric version of the car is offered sale but the nitro version is more a personal project. Due to the limited production run of the car, Michael says they have opted to use diffs from Team Associated, shocks from Serpent and the 2 speed gearbox from Capricorn. Since the initial design they have worked on a new chassis plate for better weight distribution on the nitro car but the front and rear end remain unchanged.

’23 Offroad World C/ship Chassis Focus Index

With the dust now settled on what was a fantastic & exciting 1:10 Offroad World Championships at Hobby Action RC Raceway, we have put together a full index of all the buggies we were able to photograph for our ‘Chassis Focus’ during our time in Arizona. While we request chassis focus with all the manufacturers, some are forced to decline to protect prototype parts or developments they were trying at the Worlds. We are always happy to respect this as in this modern era it has become easy for parts to reverse engineered from online images and made available before the chassis manufacturer, who has invested the time & funding into the buggy, has fully tested and signed off the final design of parts. Sworkz was one manufacturer who was unable to provide their buggies because of a new suspension parts they had for the event.

Remarks

After reporting on the opening round of the Asian Buggy Championships in New Zealand, Red RC is excited that our next trip is to the second round which takes place at the legendary Philippine Masters in Manila.

An event that has a truly unique atmosphere, it combines both top level racing and a social atmosphere around the racing that lives up to the host country’s tagline ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines’.

With a new title sponsor in Team Cayote, 2025 marks the third season of Scotty Enrst’s high profile 4-round Asian based 1:8 Offroad Championship. Also supported by Xray, Infinity and VP Pro, the championships touches down in New Zealand, Philippines, Australia and Indonesia.
