> Japan and Italy share the most number of World titles in the class with four each, while France and the USA both have two, with Germany only having the one.
> Only one driver has won twice, Maurizio Monesi in 1988 and 1994, but no one has ever won it back to back.
> The last time the event was held in Thailand it was won by Japanese driver Koji Sanada, but the last time it was run in Asia it was Mark Pavidis that came away with the title.
> Kyosho are the most successful manufacturer with 7 World titles. Mugen is the only other brand to have won it more than once with 2 titles.
> In terms of engines it is reigning Champions O.S. that have emerged on top with 5 victories, with RB the next best with 3 victories.
> Five IFMAR World Champions will compete at the 2010 event.
