Chassis Focus – Dario Balestri

Chassis Name – KM Racing H-K1 Evo 2
Engine – Novarossi Keep On 12-3L
Tires – Contact
Radio/Servos – Sanwa
Remarks – Dario is running the standard H-K1 Evo 2 with the 4mm shorter chassis, with a few parts from some other manufacturers to further improve the performance. The shock absorbers are from Kyosho, which Dario feels is slightly better than their standard shocks while the plastic ball joints are also from an aftermarket company and offer less play than the standard versions in these hot conditions. KM Racing are working on improving their shocks and should have new versions in the near future.

Remarks – While the Velox V10 chassis is unchanged for this race, the Shepherd team one of the few to not come testing on the RC Addict prior to the event, the Sonic engine is sporting a new cooling head. The cooling head, which is without its anodising, was only finished just prior to the event and features a larger diameter, a different shape and is lower than the previous version. Seen on all the Picco based engines here in Thailand it will be released some time in the near future.
